About Us

The Historical Society of Whitehall research Center in its rooms over the Griswold Public Library was started by the late Town & Village Historian Doris Begor Morton.

Volunteers work Tuesday mornings 10 to Noon. Persons Interested in research may use the facilities at that time or make special arrangements. Please contact us by using the contact page e-mail for special visit requests.

The Library volunteers offer a genealogy research service upon receipt of a written request. If you contact us by mail, please provide a stamped self-addressed envelope. Research is provided as time is available. Volunteers will provide up to one hour of research for a donation of $10 that helps us maintain our library. Copies of relevant information is available at fifty cents per black and white page. We recommend that you contact us via e-mail as a first step.

Our "Work" page contains searchable PDF files.
