The Historical Society of Whitehall’s research Center in the rooms over the Griswold Public Library was started by the late Town & Village Historian, Doris Begor Morton.
Volunteers work Tuesday mornings 10am to 12pm. Those interested in research may use the facilities at this time or make an appointment by contacting us HERE.
The Library volunteers also offer a genealogy research service upon written request. If you contact us by mail, please provide a stamped self-addressed return envelope. Research is provided as time is available. Volunteers will provide up to one hour of research for a donation of $10 to help us maintain our library. Copies of relevant information are available at fifty cents per black and white page. Donations of any size are welcome at any time.
We recommend that you contact us by this form as a first step.
Our Whitehall History page contains PDF files, pictures, stories and more.
